The Remmonds Family
The Remmond Family line goes back to Robert REMMONDS and his wife Maria who probably lived around Lessingham, Norfolk circa 1650. I have traced one son, John who was baptised at Lessingham on 6 July 1677. He married Elizabeth and they in turn had a son John baptised at Hempstead with Eccles, Norfolk on 15 July 1706.
John Remmonds 1706-1790 married Elizabeth PRATT at Ludham on 6 October 1730. They had five children all baptised at Ludham. Elizabeth was buried at Ludham on 9 April 1764 and John on 7 January 1790, also at Ludham.
John baptised at Ludham on 18 July 1731 married Mary COOK on 1 January 1759 at Ludham. John and Mary had 11 children: Elizabeth (1760) married William BALLS at Ludham on 19 December 1781: John (1762) married Sarah SKIPP at Neatishead 1 February 1795: Robert died at Ludham in 1786 aged 21: Lazarus (born and died January 1769): Lazarus (1770) died 1789 aged 19 at Ludham; Royal born April 1772 died May 1772: Sarah and James, twins born 1773 buried together at Ludham 5 June 1773; Hannah 1779 and James 1781, married Ann Dolben from Denbigh. James and Ann lived in Great Yarmouth and had 10 children. James died 1862, Great Yarmouth, buried Ludham 21 March 1862 .
Robert baptised at Ludham on 14 November 133 and died there, a singleman, buried at Ludham 6 September 1785.
Sarah was baptised at Ludham on 22 Februray 1735 . She married John COOK at Ludham on 5 June 1758 and they had 5 children: John, Robert, Sarah, John, John and Mary
Mary was baptised at Ludham on 29 Pctober 1738 and buried there on 5 November 1785, a singlewomn.
Elizabeth was baptised at Ludham on 6 December 1741. She married James BALLS there on 20 October 1763 and they had 7 children: James, Thomas, William, John, Mary Ann, Samuel and Mary Ann.(See Balls Family page .) Elizabeth was buried at Scottow, Norfolk on 13 November 1827
