• Emigration, 1912, Canada. Alfred probably emmigrated to Canada in 1912 on The Empress of Ireland bound for St John New Brunswick. Alfred next appears on a passenger list in 1913 this time the Royal Edward to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Did Alfred return to Monmouth and persuade his sister Clara and her husband, John Burnside to go over to Canada too as they emmigrated there in 1913.
