Groom and fathers names mixed up on record and side note to correct Roy Alan Burton should read Walter William Roy Allen and Walter Willliam Burton should be Walter William Allen

• Census, 1939, Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire. Walter is living at 38 Welton grove Kingston-upon-Hull. He is a baker and confection maker. The original entry states his name as Allen Burton, Walter and his birth date as 8/9/1899. he is living with his wife, Elizabeth Ann and at least five children (some of the records are still officially closed) At some later date (probably when his wife remarried) the entry has been altered to give the name as Walter William Roy Allen and his bith year as 1895. There was a child named Walter william born in York in 1895 but this was not the same person.

Walter married Emily NAYLOR in 1925 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire. (Emily NAYLOR was born in 1896 and died in 1935 in York, Yorkshire.)
