Bishop Family History

Derek William BISHOP married Irene JARMAN in 1950. They lived in Deeping St. Nicholas, Lincolnshire and had five children.

I have tried to trace the ancestors for both of these family trees.

The BISHOP Family tree goes back from Lincolnshire into Northamptonshire while the JARMAN tree's roots are mainly in Lincolnshire.

The BISHOP and JARMAN menus provide links for the family branches in each line of ancestry.

It has been a lot of fun and very interesting delving into the history of these two families and where they lived and worked in a County that has been my home for the last 40 odd years. I drive through villages nowadays and think "Oh such and such a person lived here".

I have made contact with some lovely people while doing the research. who have been invaluable either by exchanging and sharing information or recounting family facts, anecdotes or rumours.

Thanks to every one of you that has helped us in any way with our research.

The database contains information on 37 direct branches of the family tree covering 1490 individual family members.

The Surname List covers 310 names from both families and their various branches.
